First Breaston Repair Cafe – 1st February 2025

Join us for the very first Breaston Repair Café event! We’re excited to bring the community together to repair, reuse, and reduce waste. This is your chance to give your broken household items a second life while learning practical skills and meeting like-minded people.
Our team of skilled volunteers will guide you through the repair process, whether it’s fixing a faulty item, mending torn clothing, or restoring a cherished item.
This is a free event, but donations are welcome to support the Repair Café and keep it running. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to be part of Breaston’s first step towards sustainability and community collaboration!
February marks the inaugural launch of our Breaston Repair Cafe! There is no need to make an appointment – simply turn up at the Scout Hut in Breaston village centre. One of our welcome team and guides will assist you to finding the right repairer.
For our February session, we are offering the following repair services:
- Electrical repairs
- Sewing repairs
- Bike repairs
- Clock repairs
- Sharpening
Recycling corner will be offering the following – bring along:
- Cables
- Used postage stamps
- Foreign coins & notes
- Empty tablet blister packs
- Empty toothpaste tubes & plastic toothbrushes
- Contact lens storage cases
- Empty mini travel toiletries
- Jigsaws (for swapping)
In addition, our fantastic café team will be on hand, serving tea, coffee, and delicious slices of cake. Whether you’re waiting for a repair or just stopping by, you’re warmly welcome to join us!
